Thank you to Western Chief Kids who sent over two pair of rainboots for my boys and I to test out. They offer a wonderful collection of children’s rain gear including raincoats, boots and umbrellas. All in colors and patterns to delight the eyes of our little ones.
Their newest line includes two boot styles based from Marvel Comics: Spider-Man and Captain America. As a mom of three boys and married to one entertainment loving husband, the superhero craze continues to grow in my home with each passing year and new and remakes of our favorite heros and villians. So as you can imagine my sons were delighted to own and wear a piece of this world even if it is on their feet.
Western Chief Kids Spider-Man boots are 100% waterproof rubber with moisture absorbing lining. Both of these are important features when it is time for my rough housing kiddos to head outside to play during or after the storm. Rubber to keep the water out and the lining to soak up a little water in the event we get more inside the shoe than on the outer. Trust me it happens; even I still kick and splash in the puddles every now and then. In the event that it does, this boot collection comes equip with a removeable insole for quicker drying.
While the visual appearance including the signature Spider-Man insignia and Captain America shield and made quality is extremely important, the design itself is something that I consider when making a purchase for my children, especially my toddler. He is at that stage where he wants to do things himself and I support his independence and try to embrase it whenever possible. With Western Chief Kids rainboots, they offer pull handles for little hands to grip and pull on all by themselves.
