Mr. E, who is now three, wants to be just like dad. Everything dad does, he wants to try. So when it came time for my product selection as a Little Tikes Ambassador, I was giddy when I found the Backyard Barbecue Get Out ‘n’ Grill Bundle. Naturally summertime equals lots of grilled meats and veggies created by my husband. So this grill playset was just the most amazing little idea. No matter if played with indoors or out, my little guy can cook just dad!
We were so excited when the Backyard Barbecue Get Out ‘n’ Grill arrived, there was no waiting till dad arrived home from work for the build. To my relief there were not many parts and only about a dozen screws to complete the project. I wish you could have seen my face when I noticed there were only 4 stickers that needed to be placed on the grill. Serious those babies are like danger zone when I put Mr. E’s toys together and I was doing a happy dance to see so few. The project took me about 15 minutes from box open to finish.
Playtime with the Backyard Barbecue Get Out ‘n’ Grill went a lot better than I could have ever hoped. A very picky Mr. E took to the playset right away, creating burgers and hotdogs all around. He even wore the Backyard Barbecue Chef’s Accessory Set, which was so adorable. Even more shocking this two older siblings joined in the fun. There was no fighting; just pure, truly playtime fun. Each took turns with the grill while the other made the plates and added the sides. It was a sight to see!
All the pieces contained in the Get Out ‘n’ Grill Bundle including the Backyard Barbecue Grillin’ Goodies are top quality, made in the USA as expected by Little Tikes. The food pieces are thick plastic, leaving little worry about bending or damage even if my guy tries to take a bite. These are the type that I can see lasting till my babies have babies.
The grill itself is sturdy and solid shaped. Each side of the grill is evenly weighed and the exact length and height. Tipovers very unlikely unless that is what they are aiming to do. The grill hood can be moved back and forth with ease, and there is a lot of storage in the cabinet underneath. Perfect for storing all of the additional parts when not in play mode.
At 28″ high the Backyard Barbecue Get Out ‘n’ Grill was perfect for my 3 year old and I can see him still grillin’ with dad into next summer. I feel safe when buying Little Tikes products and this grill surely makes the good buy list in my home.
