Bratz are well constructed dolls that are ideal for girls ages 5 and up. Now while most doll play stops around age 11, I can see girls on up into their teens falling in love with the new Bratz Masquerade Doll collection. In the mist of all things supernatural becoming more and more popular with our youth; it is natural for doll creators such as Bratz to produce products that would peak the interest of these collectors.
I presented the Bratz Masquerade Kirana Doll to my seven-year old daughter who is a huge vampire fan like myself. She was immediately excited and on her toys while I deconstructed the box and removed the contents. Surprisingly she played with the doll for about a half hour before even requesting the mask and makeup. Then we toyed around with face decorating; now if she was older, I probably would have allowed her to do it on her own. We didn’t have a lot of luck getting it to come out perfectly like you see on TV, but she was thrilled just to be getting to play dress up.
The doll itself is gorgeous. She has the traditional pump Bratz lips with a pale pink shine. I really dig the curly pink hair and love how it shows personality and individuality from other dolls. Kirana’s eye design and makeup is tasteful and precise. Clothing and doll are both well made which is exactly what I expect from Bratz. In the end the Bratz Masquerade Kirana Doll gets a big thumbs up and if you still need a holiday gift, this is the one!
