For Spring 2012, Tea went on an island journey and traveled to Bali, a little place with a whole lot of happy! Their designers were truly inspired by everything from the dance and music to painting, woodworking, jewelry making and the island’s rich ikat and batik textiles. Upon their return, they created a truly incredible collection that includes a modern interpretation on traditional Indonesian patterns and Balinese rituals. The girls clothing features botanical jungle prints and bright, bold batik fabrics. The boys clothing collection includes clothing depicting mystic characters and batiks with nature inspired motifs.

Tea Collection has become a children’s fashion obsession for me over the last two years. I have made sure to grab a few pieces of their ever changing worldly selection with each new season. The Bali collection was no different and my husband will tell you with a $300 investment in one order, I was happily set.
To date the weather here in Iowa has not been nice enough to pull out the pieces we purchased for the Bali collection for photoing. Though I have inspected each piece with care and found them to be light weight. The girls line is very danty and reminds me of top model fashion. The colors are bright and bold providing an overall joyous mood. The boys collection follows closely behind with designs that I could see my guys wearing on a summery beach day. It was so easy to fall in love with this collection.
We did have a chance to make use of a few pieces from their late fall collection on Easter. It was just sunny enough to get outdoors and have a good ole family get together. The pieces from this collection were heavier in weight yet perfect for both spring and summer seasons.
