Even though my baby is now a toddler, I have been a huge fan of SwaddleDesigns. Well since my Low was a newborn and perhaps even before then as well. Especially if you take into consideration that I was an extremely picky mother hen when preparing for my young’s arrival.
The Ultimate Receiving Blanket Sterling Mod Circles is part of the SwaddleDesigns new Sunwashed Pastel Collection. I have been seeing a trend of light pastels this Spring in all thing fashionable including those for babe. I can say without a doubt I am adoring the lighter washout look. It almost appears aged but in a pleasant way. As if you were looking at color in the hew of the sun. Lovely is the one word I would use to describe this new design line.
The Cotton Flannel Ultimate Swaddle™ Blanket was created baby soft yet breathable and very lightweight. My son has always been one to toss his covers and sweat at night. As a baby he seemed to thoroughly enjoy being cocooned in his SwaddleDesigns swaddle. I firmly believe it is because they only seem to soften even more with wash and time. Plus while he did sweat at times, he never ever past the point of being too warm.
The generous size of the Ultimate Swaddle was a big deciding factor for me during the purchasing process. They are 42 x 42 inches which is larger than the norm in my experience of baby blankets. This made the swaddle process easier to complete during the beginning baby days and more efficient in staying swaddled for the long haul. Not to mention the 123 Swaddle label sewn to the blanket which is a great instruction reminder for both the new and experienced. <~ That feature alone makes me think ideal for expecting moms {gift hint}.
This blanket is square shaped and serves dual purpose as a sunshield, playmat for tummy time, privacy throw when breastfeeding, or even a favorite cuddle blanket for those toddler days. As you can see my Low still uses his at nap time or what is suppose to be nap time. It is compact enough to toss in a baby bag for on the go and makes a great cover for him while traveling by car or plane.
For those country conscious consumers, know that SwaddleDesigns is made in USA from USA cotton. They are designed in Seattle and their company has been a winner of multiple awards.
New to SwaddleDesigns and seen on the Ultimate Swaddle Blanket we reviewed is the SwaddleClub label sewn to the blanket.
SwaddleDesigns’ mission is to help new parents calm and comfort their baby. After 10 years of helping parents with the 123 Swaddle® label sewn right on their swaddle blankets, they just recently introduced the SwaddleClub QR label to make helpful online resources on the SwaddleClub easy to access from a smartphone, tablet or computer.
Upon scanning the QR code parents are allowed access SwaddleClub, a free service that provides baby care videos, white noise and helpful tips for new parents. SwaddleDesigns has partnered with Dr. Harvey Karp, creator of the Happiest Baby on the Block, to stream full-length Happiest Baby super-soothing white noise and short baby care videos to your smart phone.
Very cool how even our baby blankets are getting high tech!
