My daughters joined in the Lalaloopsy craze around Christmas 2011 and to my surprise their demand is still going strong. With one look, you can understand why little girls (and boys too) fall in love with the sweet button faces seen on every Lalaloopsy doll creation. In fact Coral Sea Shells is the sixth doll in our collection. Though if my 7 and 6-year-old had their way, we would have dozens more.

Lalaloopsy Coral Sea Shells was once a rag doll who magically came to life when her very last stitch was sewn. Coral Sea Shells was made from pieces of a swimmers bathing suit. She’s super- imaginative and she loves to pretend she’s a real mermaid. Her favorite hobbies are swimming with the fish and eating seaweed salad. She has a pet blowfish.

For one I was so happy to see a Lalaloopsy doll that was made to get wet. We have had numberous battles on why Jewel Sparkles and Suzette La Sweet are not allowed in the bathtub. Finally I can allow them to play with one of their favorite dollie characters anywhere wet or dry without worry.
The Lalaloopsy Sew Magical Mermaid Doll comes with a swimsuit as well as a mermaid suit that can easily be changed out. She is created from what appears to be the same quality design as the original Lalaloopsy collection. Every feature is well placed, bright and beautiful providing the rag doll look I loved as a child with the modern spin of plastic. Which of course is more durable and will last much longer than my playtime friends many years ago.
Lalaloopsy Sew Magical Mermaid Doll has something special about her that make her unique and very cool, color changing hair! When dry Coral Sea Shells hair is a bright pink and when wet it transforms into a purple. This makes her a hit around my household and one of my favorites in the line thus far.
Care note for parents ~ after the water playtime is complete, lay Coral Sea Shell out to dry separately from her clothing. This will speed up the drying process. Also make sure to rotate the head every once in a while drying to ensure that all the water completely drains out.
