When I came home from work this afternoon, I received a package on the doorstep. As soon as I saw the return address label I was giddy like a schoolgirl. I was so excited to open the new bedding for our baby boy from Atelier Ëdele!
Ëdele means “my luck,” and I was lucky to receive such a gorgeous bedding set after a long day of work.
As soon as I opened the box, I was greeted with this beautiful sack that contained our new bedding. The details began with the satchel, but I noticed the other small details and personal touch as I began to unwrap our new set. Inside of the canvas bag, the bedding was wrapped and sealed with a small sticker, and inside of the protective plastic layer, a small card that brought a smile to my face. It is not often that when opening a package, whether a gift or something you order for yourself, you feel like the company truly appreciates your business. Even though the note inserted was not hand written, it touched home when it said that the child receiving this bedding is lucky to have you in their life. Once I opened the package I saw just how true this statement was….
The bedding in this bag is hands down, the softest, most welcoming fabric I have ever felt in my life. (I am actually quite jealous that Atelier Ëdele does not make bedding for adults!) And it is not just the luxurious feel of the fabric that the designers have used, but the craftsmanship in each stitch and turn of the fabric. Each corner and seam is meticulously stitched, and the artistic design is eye catching but not overbearing. The subtle chevron pattern compliments the focus piece of this set, “Véronique’s Elephant.” We had actually chosen a them of safari for our boys, and my baby shower had a “blue safari” theme, so this set was meant for our nursery. (If we had a baby girl, Véronique’s Peacock would be my first pick!)
Photos do not do justice to the beauty of the products designed with love, and a passion for children. I cannot tell you how many times I have tried to find bedding for our boys only to be disappointed in the options available. Either the fabric seems that it would be uncomfortable to sleep on, too thin, to “crunchy” or just not well made. This is a brand that I will be recommending to all of my friends with children, or who are expecting.
You can order your set online at http://atelieredele.com/, and visit Atelier Ëdele on Facebook. Your baby or toddler will thank you!
