Recently I had the pleasure of sampling a 15 piece Sucré Signature Macaron Collection. This set contains delicate French macaron cookies filled with luscious mousseline. Flavors include: Pecan, Chocolate, Salted Caramel, Almond, Pistachio, Strawberry, Hazelnut, and Bananas Foster. Each macaron toted a powerful combination of tasty punch. While they were not labeled, once you took that first nibble your body knew exactly which flavor it was. You could breathe in the nutty, fruity or even chocolate heaven of each tiny morsel.
Each macaron was crafted to near perfection. While shipping tossed them about and they were no longer as beautiful as they once were, it did not effect the taste or texture. A few ends were crumbled but that is to be expected from the fluffy, soft cake. I have had a lot of macarons as they are a personal favorite of my daughter Maddy and these were one of our favorites. Ideally bite sized, soft – melt in your mouth framework and oh so yummy center. Pull it all together and you have a gift worth receiving each time.
