As a busy mom who gets called on often to assist with class parties, I tend to embrace my creative side while finding unique ways to save time along the way. Cupcakes tend to be a crowd pleaser and can be simple to create. They are easy to sever in bulk and are quick for clean-up, making them a selection I lean on often when prepping for a youth event. With Easter so close, I am excited to share a few methods to take ordinary treats and turn them into holiday favorites.
Easy Carrot Cupcake for Easter
Things you will need:
- 12 orange Starburst
- Bag of Rips candy (green for the carrot top)
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon mixed with 1 tablespoon sugar in a shaker
- 24 frosted cupcakes {any flavor with white color icing}
How to make a candy carrot:
- Cut your Starburst in half.
- Flatten the top of one end and make the other end pointed.
- On the flattened end add some green Rips {pulled apart in strands}.
- Wrap the flattened end around the Rips
- Roll the whole thing to form a carrot shape
Putting it all together:
- Take your frosted cupcake and sprinkle on the cinnamon/sugar mixture to create a dirt look.
- Place carrot on top of cupcake.
- Enjoy!
