What the Momma thinks…

We are board game fans; really anything to get us to participate as a family is a huge plus in my book. So the Angelina Ballerina Dance With Me Game already had this going for it right out of the box. My daughters are a little older and had a lot of fun the first time we played but it slowly lost the wow factor after that for them. However though I sent it to my mom who has two younger toddler girls at home and she says they love playing. I think it is all about the right age group which seems to be between 3-5.

Angelina Ballerina Dance With Me Game was easy for the my girls whom are 6 and 7 to understand the motions of how to play and move about the board on their turn. With each turn of a card, they were to learn and perform the move shown. These move cards continue to grow until the end of the game is reached and it is time to put them all together and dance along to the music included on the bonus CD.

In the end, I think the idea of the Angelina Ballerina Dance With Me Game is a fabulous one for little ladies. It opens them to the world of classic ballet moves and teaches them the basics of turn taking and following rules. The fact that these lessons are learned in a sweet fashioned family board game is brilliant. I suggest checking this out if you have a girly toddler on your hands and enjoy spending group time together. Note this game does work best when there is an adult playing along to make sure everything is understood and moves along smoothly. After all I would not even expect my seven-year old to know what the word releve means (unless she had taken at least one year of ballet with an experience instructor).
