My family really enjoyed Rio. It is one of the few DVDs we own that still get watched at least once a month. It is such a sweet tale of two unlikely personalities coming together out of necessity and then love. Everyone adores a happy ending.
First impressions of the Rio 2 clip {seen above}: It looks better than the first.
Remember when Shrek added children to the mix? Made for an even funnier story line. When children come into play, the movie seems to take on a more family adventure feel and attracts more attention from own children. I think they like the idea of see what kids can be involved on the big screen.
Early previews left us wanting more Rio:
Digging the pop-pop line. We have seen this preview several times at home and even in theaters and every time this section of the film is shown, we laugh. I really hope to see this character more in Rio 2.
The drop it song is catchy and has even had my children dancing in front of the TV.
Just from the parts we have seen so far, I can tell you we will be seeing it in theaters. So look for a full review coming soon…….
The entire cast of the animated smash RIO returns in RIO 2, and they are joined by a new flock of top actors and musical talents. Rich with grandeur, character, color and music, RIO 2 finds Jewel (Anne Hathaway), Blu (Jesse Eisenberg) and their three kids leaving their domesticated life in that magical city for a journey to the Amazon. They encounter a menagerie of characters who are born to be wild, voiced by Oscar nominee Andy Garcia, Oscar/Emmy/Tony-winner Rita Moreno, Grammy winner Bruno Mars, and Tony winner Kristin Chenoweth.
