Baby Alive Real Surprises Baby Doll is a great dolly to make your little one feel like a real mommy! In fact this baby really eats, moves her head and even pees and poops in her diaper. Now hum, what an interesting addition to toy.
Baby Alive Real Surprises is an interactive doll ready to keep your child entertained from day one. During feeding times, she shaking her head to indicate whether she wants more and when she doesn’t. Then of course a little while after eating, the doll with have her “surprise” poop and/or pee and it is time to change her diaper! She comes complete with a pacifier for nap and bedtime.
This is one of those products where I am filled with conflicting emotions. On one side, I see a uniquely thought-out idea that could be the perfect gift for a little girl who is expecting a new addition to the family or even one who has mothering instincts. The Baby Alive Real Surprises Baby Doll is an adorable doll and fairly well sized at 16″ tall for younger girls. She is easy to carry and in the middle when it comes to softness. All the parts included are large enough to put them in the safe category and are all well made to stand the test of time.
However this baby doll states from ages 3+ and as a parent of a 3 year old and 6 more children ahead of him, I can say that I do not feel that this is an appropriate doll for the toddler age group unless you are going to leave out the feeding foods all together. The water bottles and pee-pee are no biggy but cleaning up what is considered to be poo is just not something a 3 year old is responsible enough to do. Now you maybe a parent of a more grown-up 3 year old, than mine. So of course, your judgement is what matters.
