For me, one of the hardest parts of traveling is packing. Or, let me be more specific; packing all your toiletries. We all need to bring things along with us to use in the bathroom or for our general beauty routine while we’re away. Unfortunately, we also tend to own a lot of different things that can be heavy and take up a lot of room in your suitcase.
Bearing that in mind, I’ve decided to put together a collection of things you need to include in your toiletries travel bag. All of this stuff is essential, so make sure you pack it!
Your Own Shampoo / Conditioner
A lot of people choose to leave their shampoo/conditioner at home when they go on vacation. I find this is because many hotels offer these toiletries in their bathrooms. However, it can be bad for your hair if you use something it’s not used to. Instead, bring your own, but squeeze it into little 100ml bottles beforehand so you can save space!
Travel Size Hairbrush
You can’t really go anywhere without a hairbrush, let alone a hot country where it may be humid and cause your hair to get really frizzy. The problem is, we don’t really want to pack a massive hairbrush as it takes up too much room and we can’t bring it everywhere. Thankfully, here is a list of different hair brushes that include some which are small enough to carry around. What’s more, the brushes are all boar bristle, meaning they’re nice and gentle on your hair and scalp. So, add a small hairbrush into your toiletries bag right now!
Sunscreen & Aftersun
Naturally, you can’t go on holiday without bringing some sunscreen along for the ride. Make sure you get one that’s a decent SPF rating, so you can protect your skin from the sun. I always think it’s best to bring along an extra bottle or two – depending on how long you’re away for – just in case you run out. Oh, and also bring some aftersun so you can hydrate your skin after you’ve been out in the sun too. This is essential for keeping it in good condition.
Toothbrush & Toothpaste
Of course, you can’t forget to go on holiday without bringing your toothbrush and some toothpaste. Loads of people forget this all the time, and I don’t know why. It just means you have to waste money buying them when you get to the airport or arrive at your destination. I mean, you’re going to brush your teeth every day, so it should be one of the first things on your list.
Now, these are the main things I put in my toiletries bag when I travel. I find they’re absolutely essential, and it’s not a good idea to forget them. Of course, there are a few additional things you can add, such as makeup and other skincare products. However, these aren’t as essential as what I’ve mentioned, so they don’t quite make my list! Hopefully, this helps you pack your toiletries bag, and makes it easier for you to pack when going on holiday.
