It’s no secret, I am not a Texas local. However, you say Comicpalooza, HoustonNerdsUnite and I jump on a plane with my cosplay in tow. Can you tell I am over the moon excited to be an official 2015 Comicpalooza Blogger? Just a wee bit!
This year the lineup of guests is something straight out a Marvel Comics lover’s wet dream. Just a few: Jeremy Renner better known as Hawkeye, Hayley Atwell also known as Agent Peggy Carter and Cobie Smulders who stars as Maria Hill in The Avengers, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Avengers: Age of Ultron. Not impressed just yet? You might just be lying to yourself a tiny bit. But if you need more convincing that this is the place to be on Memorial Day weekend, here is a list of Comicpalooza guests to get your creative mind juices flying.
While the superstars in attendance are always fun, I also suggest spending sometime checking out the hundreds of artists in Artist Alley. How about picking up another new piece for your collection from one the many vendors. In fact, you might just find something a little rare including con exclusives!
In the end, the best part for me is the cosplay. Everything from fans to family, you get to see the con come to life in full costume. It’s one of the few times that dress-up is not only acceptable but encouraged for all. Some come hang with me and my fellow Houston nerds!
