Pecan Bars
Crust Ingredients
- 1/2 Stick I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter, melted
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 Tablespoons sugar
- Dash of Salt
Filling Ingredients
- 1/2 stick I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter, softened
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 3 Tablespoons corn syrup
- 3 Tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 egg
- 1 cup coarsely chopped pecans
Directions:
Prep:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Prepare 8 in. baking pan with either non-stick cooking spray or grease pan with a light coating of I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter and flour.
The Crust:
- Combine flour, sugar and salt in a mixing bowl, then fork melted I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter into the dry mixture until well crumbled.
- Take crust mixture and press into pan evenly {using fingertips is the easiest method}
- Bake for 8 minutes
The Filling {create while crust is baking}:
- Wisk together I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter, brown sugar, corn syrup, flower and egg until well blended.
Now let’s bring it all together:
- Evenly spread chopped pecan over top of the baked crust.
- Pour in filling mixture
- Bake for 25-30 minutes
For best results allow to cool at least 1 hour before serving. Makes 6 nice size servings.
